Staff onboarding and training

The first week, laid out; the documents collected; the sign-offs recorded.

What you lose without it

A new starter shadows whoever is free. Their white card and first aid arrive by text a month later, or never. The contract, the tax declaration and the super form get chased three times. Nobody can say what they have been trained on.

What it holds

A day-by-day first week: what to read (from the Brain), who to meet, what to sign, what to be shown and signed off on. A starter form that collects the documents, checks and details straight into the register. A training record per person.

What it reads from

The knowledge base for content, the register for tickets and checks, your HR or payroll tool for the paperwork (Employment Hero, Xero Payroll, Deputy).

What the morning check says about it

"Sam starts Monday; onboarding pack sent, WWCC not yet received." "Two starters have not completed the manual handling sign-off."

Where a spreadsheet stops being enough

Above about 30 staff or with high casual turnover, an HR platform's onboarding module is worth it; the content still comes from the Brain.

Problem: I can't take a week off

All modules: Compliance and registers · Quotes and price book · Jobs, bookings and schedule · Money view · Clients and pipeline · Knowledge base and procedures · Morning brief and reports · Inbox and admin · Suppliers, stock and purchasing · Marketing, reviews and content · Handover and owner-away
