What you lose without it
The inbox is the to-do list, and it is 400 long. An enquiry sits unanswered under a supplier newsletter. A certificate a subcontractor sent in March is searched for in September. The same six replies get typed every week.
What it holds
Rules for what goes where: enquiries to the pipeline, invoices to the accounts folder and the payables list, certificates to the register row, everything else left for you. A set of reply drafts in your voice for the routine cases. A daily count of what arrived and what is unanswered.
What it reads from
Gmail or Outlook in your own account, read and draft only. Sending remains a person's click.
What the morning check says about it
"Nine enquiries this week, two unanswered over 24 hours." "Three supplier invoices filed to payables; one certificate filed against Pipeline Scaffolding."
Where it stops
It never replies on its own, never deletes, and never touches anything that looks personal.
