Vessel, vehicle and equipment maintenance register for a small operator

Survey dates, engine hours and services, safety equipment expiries, hire fleet inspections and vehicle rego in one register that an AMSA or insurer audit can read.

Short answer: one row per asset per obligation: vessel survey and operation certificates, engine service by hours, safety equipment (EPIRB, flares, lifejackets, fire) by expiry or service date, hire fleet inspections, vehicle registration and inspections. The same register your safety management system points to.

Why it matters

An AMSA inspection or an insurer after an incident asks for the maintenance record. A lifejacket past its service date is a finding; a missing record is a bigger one.

The workflow

Service and inspection logged by form with a photo; warnings at 90, 60 and 30 days to the skipper or operations manager; the asset page shows the history for the audit.
