What sold out and what hasn't moved: the two stock reports a small shop needs weekly

Days of cover on the top 20 lines and lines with no sale in 60 and 90 days, from the POS export you already have, with reorder points that stop the Thursday stockout.

Short answer: two reports from the POS export: days of cover on the top 20 sellers (reorder before it hits the lead time) and lines with no sale in 60 and 90 days (mark down, bundle or return). Ten minutes a week, and the money stops sitting on the shelf.

Why it isn't done

The POS can produce it but nobody runs it. Reordering happens when the shelf looks empty. Dead stock is discovered at stocktake.

The reports

Top 20 by units and by margin, stock on hand, average daily sales, days of cover, supplier lead time, reorder point. Slow lines: last sale date, stock value, age, suggested action. Both from Square, Lightspeed, Shopify or Vend exports; the Board reads them on a schedule.
