The renewals that take an online store offline: domain, SSL, payment gateway, marketplace, apps

An online store dies from an expired domain or a lapsed gateway more often than from competition. The renewals register for e-commerce, with the card-on-file problem solved.

Short answer: list every renewal the store depends on (domain, SSL, hosting, gateway, marketplace accounts, apps and plugins, email service) with the expiry, the card it renews on and that card's expiry, and warn at 60 and 30 days. The card expiring is the usual cause.

What lapses

Domains registered in a former staff member's name. Auto-renewals on a card that expired. Marketplace accounts suspended for an unanswered compliance email. Shipping integrations that stop after an app update.

The register

Service, provider, login owner, renewal date, payment method and its expiry, cost, and what breaks if it lapses. The morning check carries the 30-day warnings.
