Short answer: a contractor instructor teaches under their own insurance and qualification, so the studio must hold the evidence: ABN, professional indemnity and public liability certificate, qualification, first aid and CPR, WWCC if they teach minors, and a signed agreement. One form, before class one, into the register.
Why it matters
If a member is injured in a contractor's class and the contractor's insurance lapsed, the claim comes to the studio. Fair Work also looks at whether a contractor is really an employee; the agreement and their own business setup are part of that picture (your accountant or lawyer advises on the test).
The form and the register
Uploads for each document, the agreement signed electronically, rows created with expiries, warnings to the studio manager at 90, 60 and 30 days, and the class timetable checked against current instructors.
