Short answer: if the studio registered it, hosts it or licensed it, the studio wears it when it lapses. One register: item, client, provider, renewal date, payment method and its expiry, who owns the login, and what breaks. Warnings at 60 and 30 days; the client told in writing when it's their card.
What lapses
A client's domain registered under a former staff member's email. A stock licence used past its term. A font licence that was desktop-only used on the web. An ad account's payment method expired mid-campaign.
The register
Kept beside the studio's own compliance items, with the same warnings, and reviewed with each client at their annual check-in.
